2 for 3 On the Weekend
The Minor Atoms had a busy 3 game weekend.
Friday night would start a 3 game weekend for the Minor PeeWee's as they were on the road Friday night to face the Generals in a divisional match up. The boys would strike first early in the second to get on top 1-0. From there they would net two more, and take Friday nights game 3-0 in Owhawa. Great tending from Jacob Brown, who would make some keys stops in the game to blank the Generals on the road and get things rolling for the weekend.
Saturday at home the boys would face an always tough match up against the York Simcoe Express. And what a game it was, back to back shutouts for the tandem tending dual. This time Tyson Wilcox would blank the Express, as a well executed and hard faught game would see the boys take down the express in a 2-0 game. They batteled hard both ends of the rink to take with win, great game boys!
Sunday was on the road again for game three of the weekend. The team came out hard and played the Wildcats tight for 2 periods but unfortunately could not hold on and lost on the road.
Overall a great weekend of hockey for the boys heading into the holiday season!
