Off to the ETA Finals!
Weekend play would see the KGF Minor Peewee's in action with two games against the Petes!
With two wins against Oshawa in the semi-final round of the ETA, Kingston would face the Peterborough Pete's this weekend in a two game match-up to decide who would move on to play for the ETA Championship, and what a weekend it was!
Saturday afternoon at home the Minor Peewee's hit the ice against the Pete's determined to win game 1, and that they did, with a 2-0 victory at home. The team worked hard, and played a solid game in front of goal tender Tyson Wilcox, who blanked the Pete's and game the KGF a crucial game 1 victory.
Sunday's game would be in Peterborough, with the Pete's backs against the wall it was bound to be an exciting game. And that is was, the game would go back and forth right to the bitter end, with solid tending by Jacob Brown, and a never give up effort by the team, they would score late in the third to claim there spot in the ETA finals!
The team will now face the Markham Waxers to decide the ETA championship!
