NEW OMHA 2018-19 AAA Tryout Policy
As announced on February 6th, 2018 the following Motion has been passed by the OMHA Board:
"to approve a 2-year pilot project commencing 2018-19 to have AAA tryouts except for Major Midget completed within 7 days of commencement of tryouts. A player must be offered a player registration by the end of the fourth day. AAA tryouts shall commence on the first Monday following the OHF Championships. AA and below tryouts would not commence until completion of AAA tryouts."

GKHA Registration Night: April 10th, 6PM-9PM Invista Centre

For tryouts registration, you must have in your possession, already printed and filled out:

  1. GKHA Tryout Out Registration Form and code of conduct(page 2 of attached): 2018 2018 Tryout Registration Form

  2. Permission to Skate (regardless if you played GK last season) is required from your home Centre (KAMHA, CAL, North Frontenac, Loyalist)
    If coming from another AAA Centre -an OHF waiver will be required instead of a permission to skate
     
  3. Payment for the Fees $190 or $100 for late out of centre skaters registering as of Friday April 20th - Cash or Cheque

  4. Registration will be available each night of tryouts at the rink but the main registration is April 10th when you can meet and greet the coaches and obtain permission to skate forms from home associations(KAMHA, CAL, ect.)

Release Policy:
The Association will issue no waiver without the player attending the home center tryouts at full length. Refusal to sign a AAA card is not grounds for a waiver. A waiver is only issued with the approval of the President or Vice-President.  Waivers will not be handed out unless the player is released from the team during tryouts.

Before the player may receive such as waiver, that player must have:

  1. Properly registered for the spring tryouts
  2. Paid all required tryout registration fees
  3. Attended spring tryouts and been released by the Coach
  4. Send a written request to the Secretary of the Association
