Regular Season Underway
The Minor Bantam Frontenacs
started their season on the road at the home of the York Simcoe Express in
Aurora this past Saturday. Not sure if it was the bus legs or early season
jitters but the boys came out flat the first half of the game and took a 3-0
deficit to the room for the flood.
An early third period goal seemed to give the Fronts a spark that helped them add another only 2 minutes later to make it 3-2. The team kept pressing, outshooting the home town Express 23-15. With the goalie pulled, the Fronts tied the contest 3-3 with 42 seconds left on the clock and held on securing a the point to start the season. The 04’s open their home schedule next Saturday at 8:45pm Invista against those same Express before hitting the road Sunday back to the GTA versus the Richmond Hill Coyotes.
