Tough Weekend
Although outshooting both
opponents, the Minor Bantam Frontenacs suffered a couple 1 goal losses this
past weekend in ETA league action. Saturday at home, the 04’s had to play
catch-up as they fell behind early 2-0.
A penalty shot goal and a turn over goal seemed to get the boys back on track tying the game at 2 but they couldn’t get that all important go ahead goal and ultimately fell 3-2 to the visiting York Simcoe Express. Sunday the locals headed to RichmondHill to face the Coyotes for an afternoon contest. Finding the twine seems to have snake bitten the boys as a third period goal by the Yotes proved to be enough and held on to the 1-0 win over the Fronts. It does not get any easier for the locals as they welcome in the undefeated Central Ontario Wolves and Quinte Red Devils next weekend for the GK Sponsor appreciation weekend. COW Saturday 5:45pm and QRD Sunday 2pm with both games at Invista.
