The Minor Bantam Frontenacs
will have to dig deep over the next few weeks. Your 2004 Fronts dropped a
couple games to first place squads and managed a pair of points in a chippy
contest that saw another D-man go down with a long term upper body injury.
The western division leading Ajax-Pickering Raiders were spotted to an early lead and the locals couldn’t overcome the deficit and ultimately fell 5-2 this past Saturday. Sunday’s bus trip brought a different outcome as a rough contest with the Markham Waxers went the circle K’s way as they battled to a much deserved 3-1 win over the home squad. Wednesday night, the Fronts took on the east leading Devils in Belleville. The game remained close through 2 periods, but the QRD’s pulled ahead for good in the third taking the contest 4-1. The short staffed 2004’s have the weekend off from games and would like to wish Jackson Barnes a quick and healthy recovery. Next game action is on the road to take on the Petes Friday 10th and then back home to the Predators Saturday 11th 5:30pm at the Invista.
