The Junior Gaels are currently seeking dynamic volunteers for the position of Goaltending Coach with each of our minor hockey teams.
The position of the Goaltending Coaches will include:
- Obtaining a Goaltending 1 level through Hockey Canada's Instructional Stream (Training offered and delivered by GKHA in August).
- Attending a minimum of one team practice per week from late August to end of March.
- Attending four additional goaltending coaches clinics organized by GKHA over the course of the season.
- Attending four organization goaltending clinics organized by GKHA over the course of the season.
For younger age groups, while previous goaltending and/or coaching experience are not required, it will be considered an asset. For older age groups, a technical instructor goaltending background or goaltending playing experience are required and coaching experience is desirable.
Our volunteer Goaltending Coaches will team up with a team of professional Goaltending Coaches in order to develop the knowledge and skills required to apply the curriculum of development expected at the AAA level of hockey and augment the individual development of our goaltenders through organization consistent instruction.
