Queen's Strength and Conditioning Academy
A great set of opportunities for our players is being offered through Queen's University

The GK Board wanted to share with you some unique training opportunities that will be happening this summer through Queen's University. Queen’s Strength and Conditioning is offering 3 unique training opportunities for local youth (see attached):
July 3rd-7th: Strength and Conditioning Summer Camp (Ages 15-16),
1:00pm-4:00pm, Cost $300.00
July 10th-14th: Strength and Conditioning Summer Camp (Ages 17-19),
1:00pm-4:00pm, Cost $300.00
July 18th-August 24th: Strength and Conditioning Academy (Ages 15-19), Tuesdays & Thursdays, 5:00-6:30pm, Cost $180.00
These programs will take place in our Varsity High Performance Training Centre with our certified and experienced Varsity Strength and Conditioning Coaches. The goal of the programs is to educate and expose young athletes to age appropriate athletic development programs. This consists of athlete assessments, speed development, agility training, strength training, power development, conditioning, and recovery work. We aim to provide a training environment that is fun, inclusive, and engaging. On top of our training program, Queen’s Gaels varsity athletes will be around the training environment to help coach and mentor the participants.
In addition to our summer initiatives, we are looking at offering training to teams within the community. If this is something you or your organization may be interested in please feel free to reach out to the contact info below and we can provide more specific details.

"The Boys and Girls Club of Kingston & Area officially opened in 1993 in partnership with the Rotary Club of Kingston. As the Rotarian who was invited by President Doug Forbes to play the lead role in transition, it is exciting after 20 years of rapid growth to know that over 2,000 children and youth were served in 2013. It’s incredible to recall the humble beginnings when the major concerns were meeting the monthly payroll and finding a suitable location to organize programs."
