April 21st, $150 until April 25th which is the end of try

*There will be no refunds if players decide not to attend tryouts or decide to not complete the tryout.*
3. Due to the new tryout process with open borders, a player
will be guaranteed one skate.
4. When the player arrives at the tryout, they must sign in
at the registration table. Here they will be given a tryout jersey and a
registration number written on a business card. This registration number
will be used by coaches and posted on the association’s
website under the applicable age group indicating which players are invited to
attend the next tryout session. Do not lose this! We recommend that you take a picture of your
players registration number.
5. Our association website is https://greaterkingstonhockey.com/.
Please scroll to the bottom of the webpage and subscribe. This will ensure that
you are receiving important updates.
6. If your registration number is not listed on the website
under the applicable age group to return, then the player has been released
from the team, or they have accepted their offer of commitment.
7. Tryout Jerseys will be collected by a GK Board Member after every ice session.
8. There will be an information session for parents at the
beginning of each tryout once players are on the ice, hosted by a GK Board
Member. Location will be available at the registration desk.
9. If you would like
to request feedback from the coach after your player is released, you must
respect the 24 hour rule before reaching out via email. This will be an
extremely busy few days for coaches, so please be patient.
Offers of Commitment:
1. 1. New this year, when coaches offer a spot on a team, the player will receive a link
to register on HCR for the season. Once received, the player will have four
hours to accept the offer and register. If they do not register within the time-frame
specified in the email, the Offer of Commitment may be rescinded by the coach.
It is important to check your junk mail and ensure that the email address in
your HCR account is accurate. If an
offer of commitment is sent after midnight, the four hours will begin at 8:00am
that morning.
2. By
registering through HCR, you will have accepted your offer and will be
committed to the team.
3. As
players are only allowed to register with one (1) team/Association for the
season, once they register it will mean that they have accepted their
Offer of Commitment and all other offers will be considered null and void.
4. An
Offer of Commitment will only be considered accepted once the player has
registered through the link provided through HCR. Verbal or paper
commitments will not be accepted.
5. The
Fee for playing AAA Hockey with Junior Gaels Greater Kingston Hockey Association
this season is $3,750 and you will have the option to pay it in 4
installments.
