Minor PeeWee 2007, 2018-2019 (Greater Kingston AAA Hockey)

The Minor Peewee boys playoffs came to an end this weekend. Despite out playing and out shooting the Whitby Wildcats on Saturday, they lost in overtime 4-3. In the rubber match on Sunday the boys battled hard but ultimately lost 5-2. In closing the chapter to this season, we would sincerely like to thank the coaching staff, manager, volunteers, sponsors and parents for making this year one to remember.  The boys should be extremely proud of what they have accomplished and hold their heads up high. 

The Minor Peewees advanced to the Eastern Conference Championship this weekend by defeating the Clarington Toros 2-1. The boys came out strong in the first period and scored 2 and worked hard all game to get the victory which put them 3-0 in round robin play.  Next, the boys will face off against the Quinte Red Devils in Deseronto on Tuesday at 6:30. Then, they will battle the Whitby Wildcats at 3:45 on Saturday and then again at home on Sunday at 2. Their final game is slotted for March 20 at 7 at home against the Quinte Red Devils. The Minor Peewees are off to a strong start in their playoff run. Despite a slow start and being down 4-1 against the Oshawa Generals, the boys battled back in the third period to force overtime and then pulled out an impressive 6-5 victory. On Sunday the boys beat the Clarington Toros 3-2 in a very tight, hard fought game.  The boys will play the Toros again on Saturday at Clarington at 7:15 and then face off against the Generals at home Sunday at 3. Please come out to support the Minor Peewees playoff run. 

This past weekend,the Minor Peewees ended their regular season with a win over the Richmond Hill Coyotes 3-1 and a tough losss to the Quinte Red Devils 2-1.  The boys will now face the Oshawa Generals and the Clarington Toros in a round robin starting later this week. (Please check the GK website for further information)  In closing the chapter on the regular season, we would like to extend our sincere thanks to our dedicated coaching staff, generous sponsors, supportive parents, and especially to the hardworking Minor Peewee boys for making the season one to remember. 

The Minor Peewees had a great week winning both of their games. On Saturday the boys battled hard against the Ajax Raiders at home and won 2-1. On Thursday, the team travelled to Belliville for a crucial game against the Quinte Red Devils in the standings. It was a tight, physical game and the boys came out on top 2-1. The team will charge their batteries this week and be ready to continue their winning streak at home against the Central Ontario Wolves Feb 9 at 4 (Invista Fineline Pad), and then away on Sunday against the Whitby Wildcats
