Your GK'04 team wound up a couple of wins shy of advancing to the OMHA AAA Championships this past weekend, losing the hard-fought best-out-of-five series 3 games to 1.  After dropping the first game 3-1, GK roared back at home to a 3-0 win.  Game 3 saw the team travel back to Ajax for a heart-breaking 2-1 OT loss.  Despite home-ice advantage in Game 4, Ajax out-muscled the team to a 2-0 win to clinch the series. Congratulations to all of the boys for a very successful year!!!

Your GK'04 team were victorious in a hard fought series against Oshawa to advance to the 2nd Round of the OMHA Playoffs.  After dropping a 5-2 loss in Game 1, GK bounced back to win the next two games 2-1 and 3-2 in OT.  At home for Game 4, GK forced overtime again but lost in OT 4-3.  Travelling to Oshawa for Game 5,GK found themselves in OT for the 3rd game in a row, and salted the series with 1:36 remaining in OT. GK will face Ajax-Pickering in the 2nd round, with the winner advancing to the OMHA Championship.  Good luck boys!!!

Your GK'04 team is headed to Oshawa Friday evening to face the Minor Generals in the first game of the Best-of-Five OMHA First-Round Playoffs.  GK has faced Oshawa 4 times during the year.  All of the Regular-Season games have been hard fought and the First Round games promise nothing less. The team returns to Home ice for Game 2 at Noon on Sunday 24 Feb at Cataraqui, and will return to Oshawa for Game 3 on Wednesday 27 Feb.  Game 4, if necessary, will take place Saturday 2 Mar at 2:00 pm at Cataraqui arena. Your GK Bantam AAA Team made it to the round of 16 at the Holiday Classic Tournament in Toronto this past weekend.  After dropping a close first game to the Toronto Nationals, the Team rebounded in the rest of the Round Robin with a tie vs Chicago Young Americans and hard-fought victories vs Ottawa Myers and Burlington Eagles.  In the round of 16, GK met their tournament Arch Rivals - the Eastern Ontario Wild.  The team led 1-0 going into the third but couldn't withstand a late-game surge and wound up on the wrong end of a 5-2 score. GK's Major Bantam team traveled North this weekend.  On Saturday, a good team meal helped the team shake off their bus legs and capture a 6-2 victory over the Barrie Jr. Colts.  On Sunday, the team captured another Win with a 3-0 shut-out victory over the North Central Predators.   The team hits the road again in its upcoming games - 4 Nov in Markham and 8 Nov in Quinte - before returning home on 11 Nov for a rematch against Oshawa.
