GK'04 Advances to 2nd Round of OMHA's
Your GK Minor Midget Jr. Gaels sealed an overtime victory to advance to Round 2 of the OMHA Playoffs.
Following a convincing 5-1 victory at Home on Friday night, your Jr. Gaels traveled to Peterborough Saturday night to aim to close out the series. After trading a series of goals in the first period, GK scored twice to take a 4-2 lead into the 3rd Period. Penalty troubles in the 3rd saw the Petes come back with 2 PP Goals to tie the game and force OT. However, the Gaels didn't give up and fought back to net the OT winner 5 mins into Overtime.
The Gaels will face 2nd Place Whitby in Round 2 starting this upcoming weekend. Schedule TBD.
