Your GK'04 Jr. Gaels have been selected to participate in a 1-game "Win and you're In" for the 2020 OHL Cup. The team travels to Toronto for a game at 9:00 am on Tuesday 17 March at Scotiabank Pond against the Toronto Titans.  The winner of the game will continue on into the 2020 OHL Cup Tournament from 18-23 March. Your GK Minor Midget Jr. Gaels sealed an overtime victory to advance to Round 2 of the OMHA Playoffs. Following a convincing 5-1 victory at Home on Friday night, your Jr. Gaels traveled to Peterborough Saturday night to aim to close out the series.  After trading a series of goals in the first period, GK scored twice to take a 4-2 lead into the 3rd Period.  Penalty troubles in the 3rd saw the Petes come back with 2 PP Goals to tie the game and force OT.  However, the Gaels didn't give up and fought back to net the OT winner 5 mins into Overtime.   The Gaels will face 2nd Place Whitby in ...

Having picked up 9 of a possible 10 points over the past 5 games, your GK Minor Midget Jr. Gaels are ramping up for a Playoff Run.  Following a tie to the Markham Majors near the end of Dec, the Jr. Gaels have won 4 straight league games as they begin their surge to the playoffs, outscoring their opponents 14-4.  Defeating Whitby 2-1 and Central 6-1 prior to the break, the Team has returned from holidays to defeat Peterborough 2-0 and Whitby 4-2.  With 2 games on the road remaining, the Gaels are looking to finish strong as they prepare for their playoff run in February.

GK Minor Midget performed strong at the ETA Showcase in Oakville this past weekend, collected 4 much-needed points in League play.  Saturday morning saw the team go up 3-1 against the Barrie Colts, only to have the Colts tie it up in the 3rd.  A goal with 15 secs left locked in the victory for GK.  On Sunday morning, all cylinders were firing as the team skated to a 6-1 victory over the North Central Predators.   The team now prepares for a home game Thursday evening against Quinte at 7:00 pm at Invista.

Your Minor Midget Jr. Gaels hit the road to Whitby this weekend to compete in the Minor Midget AAA Silver Stick Tournament!  As an invite-only tournament, the competition promises to be fierce with your Jr. Gaels pitted against top North American teams such as Detroit Honeybaked and Toronto Titans.  The games begin on Thursday afternoon at 3:35 vs Guelph, followed by a double-header Friday against Detroit Honeybaked and Thunder Bay Kings.  The Round Robin finishes on Saturday with an afternoon affair vs the Toronto Titans.  All games are at the Iroquois Sports Complex.  Good Luck Team!!!!
