Mother Nature Extends the Weekend
The Peewee Frontenacs hit
the road this past weekend for two divisional rival games versus the Clarington
Toros and Oshawa Generals. On Saturday, the Toro’s got on the board late in the
first but the locals battled back to tie it up before the flood on a marker
from Lane Morency on a set up from the corner by Wyatt Ottenhof.
The game remained tied until late in the third when Boden White put the boys up for good. Payton Clarke provided the assist while Brady Spry shut the door the rest of the way for the 2-1 victory. Sunday’s game in Oshawa was postponed due to weather so that meant the boys travelling on a school night for a match up versus the Generals. The home team tallied first with a power play marker but the Fronts persevered and banged home three unanswered to take the contest 3-1. Goal Scorers in this one were Grayson Ebrahim, Blake Aylesworth and Morency with the helpers going to Andrew Botting, Ben Albright and White. Nolan Lalonde stood tall in the cage for the W. The 04’s look to close out the season on a positive note with their two last league games this weekend on the road versus COW and back home with the Toros.
