For the first time in four
years of trying, the Minor Bantam Frontenacs traveled home from their northern
swing with 4 points in the bank.
The Fronts got off to a three goal first period lead on route to a 5-0 shutout win over the hometown Barrie Colts. After spending the night in Barrie, the Fronts headed north to Rama to take on the North Central Predators Sunday. The second contest on the trip has always been the hump to get over. The boys put all their chips on the table taking a 4-1 lead to the flood and finished off the Preds with a 6-2 final. The Fronts continue their schedule with the west division as they host the first place Ajax-Pickering Raiders next Saturday at 4pm (Invista) before hitting the road again Sunday back to Markham for a contest with the Waxers.
