04's Advance to ETA Finals
A perfect 4-0 round robin record has extended the season for the Minor Bantam Frontenacs as they will look to defend their ETA Championship versus the Richmond Hill Coyotes in a best of five (6 point) series. In the first game of the round robin against the visiting Clarington Toros, the Fronts spotted themselves to 2-0 lead in the first before adding one in second and another in the third on route to a 4-0 shutout victory.

The boys travelled to Whitby for game two where it took coming from two goals behind to take the game to their fourth overtime in seven contests. The black and yellow killed off part of a five on three and another penalty before depositing the winner seven minutes into the extra period. The Fronts welcomed back those same Wildcats this past Saturday that had the locals get up early only to see Whitby tie it up with a power play marker early in the third. Fortunately the home squad banged home a loose puck one minute later and hold on for the 2-1 victory securing advancement to the ETA final. Yesterday the Circle K’s hit the road to Clarington for the last and meaningless game of the round robin where a four goal in four minute explosion early in the third was enough to take out the Toros with a 5-3 final. As in their earlier playoff round, hard work and stellar goaltending played a huge role in their success this series. It looks like the Fronts will start their series on the road in Richmond Hill for game one with the rest of the series TBD.
