Playoff Spot Clinched Over the Weekend
The Minor Bantam Frontenacs clinched their spot in the OMHA playoffs this past weekend. Saturday night had the boys traveling up the 401 to Whitby where they got out to a 2-0 first period lead. Unfortunately, the Wildcats responded in the second with two power play markers to knot it at two apiece heading to the flood.

GK pushed hard in the third out shooting the Wildcats 13-4 but could not put one by the Whitby tender ending the game at a 2-2 final. Sunday the Fronts returned home to host the Richmond Hill Coyotes where they got out to another one goal first period lead only to see the Coyotes tie it up early in the second. This time the circle K’s responded with three unanswered to take the contest with a 4-1 final and securing the all-important playoff spot. Tuesday night had the boys traveling to Clarington for a “bad weather” makeup game versus the always stingy Toros. You would think a weeknight travel game might have been a problem but the Fronts came out flying and threw 39 shots at the Toros net. The only problem is that none got by the home town net minder and the black & yellow fell by a score 3-0 and therefore affecting the Fronts playoff seeding in the very tight eastern conference. Kingston is back at it this weekend to close out the regular season with two home contests that still can play a role in the final seeding. Friday Whitby 7pm & Saturday 5:30pm with both being played at the Invista.
