A little home cooking was
all the 04 Fronts needed this past weekend to grab 4 more crucial points in ETA
action over the visiting Clarington Toros and Markham Waxers. Friday night at
the Invista had the Toros in town where 2 goals within a 33 second span in the
3rd period proved to be enough as the boys held on for the 3-2
victory.
Brady Spry stopped a penalty shot on route to the win between the pipes while goal scorers were Ben Albright, Wyatt Ottenhof and Kevin Fitzgerald. Picking up helpers were Jacob McLellan, Jackson Barnes, Ben Campeau, Jacob Froats and Boden White. Saturday night puck drop was against the Waxers where the tight checking affair was broken up late in the 3rd period with a goal by Campeau to give the locals a 2-1 triumph. Nolan Lalonde picked up the 2nd win of the weekend in the cage while the other goal scorer was Barnes with the point shot on a feed from Fitzgerald. The Peewee’s host the undefeated Quinte Red Devils this Wednesday at 7pm (Invista) then head on their overnight northern swing next weekend to take on the Barrie Colts and North Central Predators.
