Lady Luck Runs Out In Rama
A 9 game ETA point streak
ended as the past weeks games for the Peewee Frontenacs started out decent, got
better and then….not so much. Wednesday at home, the 04’s took on the
undefeated Devils from Quinte where they saw themselves fall behind 2 early but
fought back to secure a point with the 2-2 tie.
Andrew Botting and Ben Campeau scored the goals with help from Blake Aylesworth (2), Payton Clarke and Ian MacDonnell while Brady Spry steadied the troops between the pipes. The boys packed the bus and headed north for a game versus Barrie Saturday that had the Fronts build a 5 goal lead before closing out the 6-2 victory over the Colts. Aylesworth lead the way with 2 markers while the others went to Ben Albright, Boden White, Wyatt Ottenhof and Nathan Woods. Chipping in with the helpers were Jacob McLellan (2), Lane Morency, Aylesworth, Ottenhof, Woods, Botting, Campeau, Clarke and Albright. Nolan Lalonde got the win looking after the house. The boys clearly must have snuck out after hours to Casino Rama as the boys were out shot 34-8 Sunday and fell to the North Central Predators 3-0 in Orillia. Spry was in net for 2 before the empty netter. Fortunately, the Peewee’s get a crack at redemption versus the Preds next weekend as they come to town for a 2pm Sunday tilt at the Invista. Saturday also has the boys home for a very tough cross division rival in the Richmond Hill Coyotes (7pm Invista).
