Pep Talk From Tragically Hip Guitarist Inspires 04 Fronts
In 2 home games this past weekend, the 04 Fronts managed to grab 3 of 4 points in ETA action over visiting Richmond Hill and North Central. First up was the West division leading Coyotes on Saturday night. A surprise pre-game speech from guitarist Rob Baker of the Tragically Hip must have inspired the boys as the Circle K’s battled back from three 1 goal deficits to grab an all-important 3-3 tie.
Nolan Lalonde tended the cage while Ben Albright, Wyatt Ottenhof and Ben Campeau found the twine for the locals. Helpers went to Blake Aylesworth, Andrew Botting, Nathan Woods, Jackson Barnes and Kevin Fitzgerald. Next up was a redemption game Sunday that had the boys facing off versus the Predators that had gotten the best of them last weekend 3-0. The Fronts wasted no time as they scored on the first shift of the game and then poured in 4 more to take the contest 5-1. The snipers in this one were Grayson Ebrahim, Jacob McLellan, Lane Morency, Barnes and Albright with the assists going to Jacob Froats (3), Ian McDonnell, Boden White, Woods, Aylesworth, McLellan, Campeau and Botting. Brady Spry was between the pipes.
