Peewees Shutout Reigning OMHA Champs
Another three point weekend
was highlighted with a 3-0 shutout victory over the reigning OMHA champion
Ajax-Pickering Raiders in ETA action this past weekend. In the high paced,
tight checking affair Sunday, the hometown Fronts held their own behind the shutout
performance of Nolan Lalonde.
Kevin Fitzgerald got the locals on the board early then Lane Morency added another in the first with Wyatt Ottenhof potting a late insurance marker in the third. Ben Campeau added 2 assists with Morency and Ottenhof picking up the others. Saturday at home, the Circle K’s went 3 for 4 on power play to lockdown a tie with the visiting Oshawa Generals 3-3. Brady Spry handled the goaltending duties while Andrew Botting, Nathan Woods and Grayson Ebrahim scored the goals. Campeau, Fitzgerald and Spry added the assists. The 04’s will look to clinch an OMHA playoff berth next weekend with a road game in Peterborough Saturday, then back at home Sunday versus the Central Ontario Wolves.
