PeeWee, 2016-2017 (Greater Kingston AAA Hockey)

This past Friday night, the Peewee Frontenacs completed a busy three game week to end the season by beating the Markham Waxers 6-1 to sweep the ETA finals three games to zero. 

It came down to the last game winner advances, but the Peewee Frontenacs managed to battle their way to a round robin victory over the Peterborough Petes and Clarington Toros to represent the east in the finals of the ETA Championship versus the Markham Waxers. Game 1 had the locals starting at home with the Toros.

In a back and forth series, the GK Frontenac Peewee’s pushed it to game 5, but home ice advantage proved to be too much as the hometown Whitby Wildcats took the OMHA series with a 3-2 edge in games this past weekend.

The Peewee Frontenacs finished off their regular season in strong fashion this past weekend as they took three of four points to finish third in the East of the ETA Standings. Saturday had the boys on the road in Lindsay facing the Central Ontario Wolves where the short staffed Fronts battled to a 4-1 victory.

The Peewee Frontenacs hit the road this past weekend for two divisional rival games versus the Clarington Toros and Oshawa Generals. On Saturday, the Toro’s got on the board late in the first but the locals battled back to tie it up before the flood on a marker from Lane Morency on a set up from the corner by Wyatt Ottenhof.
